October, time to dig the spuds.
The days may be closing in, but there’s plenty of life left in the old year yet!
October sees the launch of a brand new festival in Brighton – White Night. Brighton City Council and South East Arts are funding an all-nighter when the clocks change, which is a great idea! Cheer us all up a treat t’will.
There is also a city-wide photography festival, news inside. Plus TWO music festivals: The Early Music Festival and a fascinating Sacred Music Festival. The festival features more than 200 performers from major faith traditions, including Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islamic, Jewish, Pagan and Sikh.
A chance to witness Whirling Dervishes from the mystical sufi tradition and special Whirling Workshops where we can experience it for ourselves!
There will be world class international artists from from India, Japan, China, the Middle East and Eastern Europe alongside local Brighton talent. Visit www.worldsacredmusic.org to find out more about this inspiring and unique festival
Plus of-course all the usual excitement of Hallowe’en and pumkin parties. Spooooooooky
So……..we are being spoilt actually! I daresay we shall cope we shall cope with a few dark evenings, somehow!
